Happy Christmas and A Peaceful New Year

This picture used for this year's Christmas card, shows Mary and the Child Jesus. It is taken from an icon, the title of which is 'Our Lady of the Sign'

Two Greek titles for Mary, 'Panagia', meaning 'All Holy' and Platytera meaning 'More Spacious', inspired the icon's writer, who uses the colours red and purple to depict the Divine, and blue to represent the Earth.
